We’ve been bloomin’ busy!

Since January this year (after the brilliant but equally knackering Christmas period) we at Harriet and Rose have been very busy. From locating new and gorgeous stock for the shop, having the annual move around, as well as a fancy new paint job for the exterior of the shop - there’s been some exciting changes!

But we are still the same shop that you all know and love. Our ethos hasn’t changed, nor our love for helping you find the perfect gift for the ones you love (or yourself – we never judge!). Our team is always happy to help, and knowledgeable about our stock. As a creative team we love nothing more than having a change around to keep all our displays fresh and new! (If you ever can’t find something, it’s probably found a new home in the shop, so just ask one of the team and we will know where to find it!). On hand to help with the most difficult to buy for, from birthdays to engagement presents. We also still offer our renowned care package service, both those on our website but also we can make up unique packages to suit the recipient - for an extra personalised touch to gifting.

Recently, you’ll have seen that our shop front is bursting with colour and flowers. The Battle of Flowers, as our local customers may know, is now parading through our town centre. Retailers have been taking part in making our high street bright and beautiful, and of course we had to bring our Harriet and Rose charm (and competitive spirit) to our display.

As we’re sure many of you know, we take real pride in our window displays…and this one is no different. We’ve had Verity, our lovely manager, bring the ‘rose’ to Harriet and Rose with her gorgeous hand painted roses, and Svita from Muse More than Flowers has created an intricate and eye-catching installation, so there’s no missing our shop front now! Our windows are always a team effort, from our travel inspired stickers, to our Harriet and Rose signs. Clem, our Assistant Manager, has been in charge of our window bike, drawing a delft pottery inspired pattern to fit with our Battle theme of ‘Tulips in Amsterdam’, and Harriet has been on tulip duty for our flower cart. All the compliments we’ve had so far are wonderful – and as a creative team it is always lovely to hear that our efforts to make the high street cheerier have been well received.

If you are loving our new flowery shop front, take a picture and tag us! Not only do we love to see your photos, but there is also a chance at winning a £25 voucher for the shop…don’t say we don’t spoil you! And of course, please vote for our display in the Town Takeover! We would really appreciate your vote (we love a bit of competitiveness, after all) but besides that, interacting and voting with window displays across our town centre ensures that this will be able to continue. We’re sure that you will agree that more colour to our town, more personality and charm, is never amiss and worth championing the cause to continue.

We will be posting a blog post monthly (as much as possible!) so that we can keep you all up to date with new stock, recommendations, gifting ideas, as well as a glimpse behind the scenes here at the shop. It’s lovely to be back into the swing of things, writing about all the things we have going on here at Harriet and Rose. Our first *official* blog post (this one doesn’t really count!) will be a cherry picking of our favourite summer essentials for gifts, events and much more…so watch this space!
