Jersey Goodies…Harriet & Rose style!
Our bright city destination pillows often take centre stage in our window displays, as well featuring along the tops of our shelving units in the shop. Bright and eye catching, we wanted to combine the best of our needle pointed cushions with your requests for a Jersey cushion. After careful consideration, we have worked alongside a local artist in capturing the essence of Jersey bundled in cushion and tote form!
For now, we simply have our West cushion - for those staunchly ‘West is Best’ - depicting La Rocco Tower in St Ouen’s bay. But…we do have an East design with Gorey Castle due very soon (we can always take names and numbers for when they arrive!). Designed by the same local artist as our West cushions, they are sure to be just as much of a hit as our West cushions have been so far.
Made from cotton in the UK, we have tried as much as possible to keep costs low so that it doesn’t impact upon you, our customers. Due to feedback on our lovely Pillow Drop pillows, we have also made just the covers of our Jersey cushions available to buy too – which is perfect for those traveling to see relatives, or for those visiting who would like to take back a piece of our lovely Island. At £30 for the cover alone, and £40 with the insert, they are a steal!
Our Island has some wonderful souvenirs, including food – such as Jersey Sea Salt (available in the shop) and goodies from La Mare Vineyards – and beauty products such as Jersey Skin’s extensive range (also in store!). However, we know that that doesn’t always take everyone’s fancy, or fit with their travel requirements. Our cushions, and totes, perfectly capture the atmosphere of our Island (a little slice of a summer haven) and we think make the best gifts not only for those visiting the island, but for lots more, such as housewarmings and birthdays. We also think it’s a lovely idea for those getting engaged, or married on the Island, as a little keepsake.
Our tote bags are also made from 100% cotton, and feature the design just on the front (as well as a little Harriet & Rose tag). They are sturdy, and fit all the bits and bobs that a tote bag should be able to fit whilst looking fashionable - as always!
Also coming soon, in both designs, are our cotton tea towels. We have often been asked to stock tea towels but have never managed to find quite the right ones that fit both the quality we want, with the designs we like. Until now! And you can get one of each to avoid the East versus West squabbles!
As with all our wonderful stock, the cushions, tote bags and tea towels will also all be available to order for on Island delivery – making the perfect gift for housewarming, visiting friends or family, or even for a little bit of Island pride on your sofa!
